About

Introducing Zave!

Hi there! I’m Zave, a 25-year-old student with a keen interest in the captivating world of Psychology. I’m excited to share a little about my journey with you!

My own experiences with mental health have really guided my academic path and shaped my aspirations for the future. I’ve faced some challenges along the way, so I genuinely understand how tough mental illness can be. This personal insight drives my passion for exploring the complexities of mental health and all the different elements that influence it.

Being part of both the disabled and trans communities has opened my eyes to the extra challenges that people with marginalised identities often face regarding their mental wellbeing. That’s why I’m wholeheartedly committed to using my studies and lived experiences to create safe and welcoming environments for anyone dealing with similar issues. I truly want to help break the stigma around mental health and advocate for inclusive practices in our field.

My dream is to be a beacon of hope and understanding for those seeking support. By encouraging open and honest conversations about mental health and sharing my own story, I hope to inspire others to reach out for help and embrace their unique paths. So, while I’m wholeheartedly focused on my Psychology degree, my mission extends beyond being just a student; I aim to be a friendly ally in the world of mental health.

Content warnings!

Welcome to our little corner of the internet, where we can chat about anything and everything! It seems like conversations about mental health often get dressed up to fit what society thinks is ‘suitable.’ But here, I believe in keeping things real. Mental illness can be tough, messy, and sometimes downright uncomfortable, and this space is all about being open and unfiltered. That said, I’m fully aware of how sensitive these topics can be, and your wellbeing is important to me. I want everyone to feel safe and ready to engage, so you can expect each post to come with a content warning. Stay safe!
